US-China City Cooperation Program

According to the Shanghai Manifesto on Global SME Cooperation, international SME cooperation cannot be sustained without the support from local governments. Therefore, GAME has decided to work with trade organizations and government agencies from various countries to launch a Global Small and Medium-Sized City Cooperation Program, so as to assist small and medium-sized cities in different countries that have strong industry compatibilities and collaboration potentials to partner up and promote business and trade, education as well as cultural exchanges between their respective SMEs and other constituents via a bridging platform supported by their trade organizations and government agencies.

The initial implementation of the program has been pioneered in the US and China, two of the most influential economies in the world. Through the joint efforts of GASME, USCEA and the National League of Cities (NLC), 51 pairs of Chinese and US small and midsize cities have formed economic partnerships so far.
