Clinton Met with GASME Delegation from China


On Oct. 21, 2011, Bill Clinton, the 42th president of the United States, met with the delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs, led by Mr. Frank, China Secretary-General of GASME, at Santa Clara Convention Center, California.


The delegation was visiting San Francisco for two important events at the ‘USA–China SME Partnership Week 2011’, namely the ‘Silicon Valley Technology Innovation Forum’ and the ‘Sino-US New Technology Investment Matchmaking Conference (Silicon Valley)’. The 101 delegates that attended are leaders of commercial and financial circles, in addition to being successful entrepreneurs from all over China.


President Clinton pointed out in his speech that America and China were the two most important countries in the world, and SMEs from both countries have made great contributions to the world’s economy. He continued to say that with the global downturn, SME cooperation between the United States and China is more critical than ever before.


Edwin Lee, Mayor of San Francisco City, also met with Mr. Frank Cao during the meeting. He expressed his belief that more SMEs from China should make investments in San Francisco, adding that the government would offer efficient and effective process to do so.
